GPE Skalka: 76 Medals and Sofia’s Shining Success ✨
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the BA Skalka hall hosted a GPE tournament for categories U13, U15, U17, and U19. 🏟️ It was an energy-packed day that proved the badminton community in Prague is constantly growing. Following the BWF structure, we focus on skill development across all age groups. Such tournaments have a positive impact on the physical and social development of children, building their confidence and teaching them sportsmanship.
The tournament statistics are impressive:
- 4 age categories and 19 disciplines 📊.
- 41 players played a total of 116 thrilling matches ⚔️.
- A total of 76 medals were awarded 🏅.
As a coach, the highlight was the performance of my student, Sofia 🌟. On the court, she demonstrated the technical and tactical maturity we have been refining in training. Her determination resulted in an amazing record: 1x Gold and 2x Silver! 🥇🥈 Sofia, massive congratulations; your hard work is bearing well-deserved fruit. 👏
